The cabin has been several years in the planning and we hope to use it for social functions and educational visits from local schools when we have also got our toilet in place. The Cabin was opened by retired Astronomer Royal Mr Graham Smith who gave a lovely opening speech and presented us with an interesting gardening book to add to our library. About 50 plot holders, friends and family attended and enjoyed a lovely Waitrose buffet and celebration cake in the shape of our Cabin!

You are invited to the 1st meeting to draft Allotments Stockport Constitution on Monday 3rd November, 4pm at the Magnet Pub.

Gemma Russell invites you to the first Community food growing partnership meeting (proposed at the last Feeding Stockport Food Partnership meeting) next Friday 31st October at 10-12noon at Bridgehall Community Centre, Siddington Avenue, Adswood, Stockport SK3 8NR.

Please feel free to pass this invite on to any relevant parties such as allotment societies, other community growing food groups etc. as it would be good to circulate this to wider groups who have an active interest in this area but don’t sit on the partnership. We are looking at setting up a network of people interested in community growing to share information and expertise.

Please let me know if you can attend, and as to whether other groups intend on coming to either this meeting or to future meetings.
