Please note that there are parking restrictions outside our site during peak periods, although there is ample parking provision opposite the site and on Whitehill Street slightly further up.
Whitehill Allotment Society was established over 130 years ago, and so we have had generations of members growing food here, taking care of poultry and bees, and protecting the fauna, flora and the facilities on our site, so that they can be enjoyed for generations more to come.
We have a few poultry plots as well as traditional allotment plots of varying sizes, from quarter plots of around 75 square feet, perfect for several raised beds and a greenhouse, to large full size plots of approximately 300 square feet, for the more serious gardener with plenty of time on their hands.
We also have a communal orchard and a communal wildlife area, which members help to maintain. There is a toilet on site, a meeting room and a communal brew hut. We have community groups who use our site on a regular basis for the benefit of their clients, and the committee tries to organise events for our members on a regular basis, such as picnics, seed and seedling swap-shops, and communal site maintenance sessions.

Hello looking for a plot so i can start growing my own veg an friut.

Whitehill allotments are a largish site located adjacent Whitehil Primary School in Heaton Norris (although its always referred to as Reddish by the locals!). We have a great atmosphere and sometimes plots to let!
If you are interested we will put our contact details on this site soon – so keep coming back.
Facilities include a brew hut and toilet as well as access road al the way round the site (no parking though on site itself)
So if you are interested keep looking or come down at weekends (Sundays being the best bet) to see if anyone can let you on and meet a committee member to discuss going on the waiting list.
